Country-Star Morgan Wallen veröffentlicht diesen Freitag sein neues Album „DANGEROUS: THE DOUBLE ALBUM“

Morgan Wallen, das Phänomen der US-Country-Szene, wird diesen Freitag sein neues Album „DANGEROUS: THE DOUBLE ALBUM“ veröffentlichen.

Nicht zuletzt dank seines Signings mit dem Label Republic Records (u.a. Heimat von Taylor Swift, The Weeknd und Drake) ist er im vergangenen Jahr in die absolute Star-Riege des Genres aufgestiegen und konnte über die Grenzen des Countrys hinaus für zahlreiche Erfolge auf dem übergreifenden US-Markt sorgen.

Nun untermauert er mit seinem zweiten Album „DANGEROUS: THE DOUBLE ALBUM“  seine Aspirationen zum weltweiten Star, das mit einem Umfang von 32 Songs und einer Entstehungszeit von drei Jahren keine Wünsche für Fans des Genres offenlassen sollte.

Über die Entstehung seines neuen Albums sagt Morgan:
“The ‚double album‘ idea started off as just a joke between me and my manager because we had accumulated so many songs over the past couple of years. Then quarantine hit, and we realized it might actually be possible to have enough time to make it happen. After a few months of production and fine tuning, I am so proud of what we came up with. I know 32 (eventual) songs sounds like a lot to digest, but I truly did my best to make sure there’s not a song that I would press ’next‘ on. I also wanted the songs to speak to multiple phases of life and have multiple different sounds based on my influences and based on what I enjoy.”

Morgan Wallens beispielloser Aufstieg als neuer Superstar der Country Musik mit zahlreichen Platin-Auszeichnungen und Nummer-1-Platzierungen in den Charts kam jedoch nicht über Nacht:
2014 gelang ihm sein Durchbruch durch die Teilnahme in der Castingshow The Voice. Nach einer Vielzahl an Singleauskopplungen erschien im Jahr 2018 sein Debütalbum „If I Know Me“, welches in den USA Platin-Status erreichte.
Erst kürzlich wurde Morgan bei den CMA Awards mit der Auszeichnung als New Artist of the Year gewürdigt und steht nun inmitten im bis dato größten Kapitel in seiner Karriere.
