Last Saturday, Smash Into Pieces made it directly to the final of the Melodifestivalen, which takes place on March 11 in Friends Arena, Stockholm.
„Six Feet Under“ is the title of the song they competed with and was written by Andreas „Giri“ Lindbergh, Linnea Deb, Joy Deb, Jimmy „Joker“ Thörnfeldt, Chris Adam Sörbye Hedman, Benjamin Jennebo and Per Bergqvist. The song is about singer Chris Adams‘ biggest life crisis where he meets his absolute rock bottom, the only thing that can bring him back up is looking at himself in the mirror and breaking free from his former self. The message Chris Adam wants to convey with the song is how to get back, how to make a comeback. No matter how hopeless things may feel or be, there is a way up if you are willing to do the work.
– Given that it was over 10 years since a rock act took a final place in the Melodifestivalen, it is with great gratitude and pride that we now enter the final in Friends Arena. Now we are loading up by rolling out the tour bus for a month-long tour in Europe, with the exception that we have to cancel Amsterdam and Frankfurt in order to be able to meet all of you in Stockholm, which we are very much looking forward to, says Chris Adam Sörbye Hedman, front man and singer in Smash Into Pieces
